LightWorkers Media OTT, LLC (LWM) is seeking a Digital Video Asset Manager who will track, manage, report and streamline video asset delivery and ingestion for the soon-to-launch LightWorkers digital experience. LWM, a joint venture among MGM, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, is focused on the creation, production and distribution of unique programming and strategic brand partnerships for the last unclaimed vertical: faith- and family-friendly programming. As LWM is a start-up venture and first-mover in the faith and family vertical, the ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, proven expertise in video asset management and publishing processes, and be a team player who can collaborate seamlessly across a lean team, and with strategic partners to meet and deliver against deadlines.

The Digital Video Asset Manager will report to the Director of Operations and will work closely with internal editorial and video teams, third-party syndication partners, social and marketing teams, and external production companies to ensure that video assets are both received and distributed completely, correctly and uploaded in a timely manner. You will be responsible for establishing, improving and overseeing standard operating procedures, will lead and manage the video asset library, will be accountable for training others on the asset management tools.

This is a crucial role within the organization, with an opportunity to define a new video publishing platform and protocol, and establish a video asset library for future growth across new platforms, partnerships, and OTT.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, structure and implement video asset delivery and management process for the LWM editorial team and publishing platform
  • Oversee entire asset library, inclusive of videos, photos, audio files and gifs
  • Establish and maintain relations as key point-of-contact for external production companies to track delivery of properly formatted assets and meet pre-set delivery deadlines
  • Establish and maintain relations as key point-of-contact for third-party syndication partners, for distribution and ingestion of premium video and photo assets, with the goal of expanding audience reach, engagement and related revenue.
  • Manage and track all metadata for each unique asset, including setting up new categories and checking third-party custom feeds
  • Leverage digital video knowledge, experience with different types of video content and formats, and existing video publishing protocols, to support an engaging and expanding experience across social platforms and existing and new partners

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years digital video experience with relevant media company and/or video production company
  • Proven experience with digital publishing tools, asset management systems and experience with video taxonomies and metadata schemas, including XML and (M)RSS feeds
  • Proven experience with workflow management as it pertains to asset delivery, management, and retrieval
  • Proven experience readying video assets for publishing to YouTube and Facebook
  • Ability to assess metadata, tags and titles for improved SEO and engagement
  • Unparalleled attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to multi-task, with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders and ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Hands-on experience with various video and content publishing platforms, including Ooyala Backlot, WordPress, and the AOL video network a plus
