Canon Financial Services, Inc. is currently hiring for our 2016 Canon Insights Intern Program. The Insights Program is a comprehensive program that runs for 10 weeks during the summer. This is a full-time (8:30 AM to 5 PM), 37.50 hours a week, paid internship. This program is designed to provide students an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience by participating in significant work projects and exposure to various business units within Canon.
This internship position would work with and support the Business Analytics and Strategic Pricing groups in the Finance Department. The majority of time for this position (70-80%) will be spent with the Business Analytics team with the remaining time spent with the CFS Strategic Pricing team (20-30%). Primary function for this position will be to create and enhance queries/reports in SAP Business Objects and MS Excel.
Assist the Business Analytics team members in creating and maintaining reports in SAP Business Objects WebIntelligence reporting application. Assist the Business Analytics team in collecting and documenting reporting requirements from various departments within CFS. Provide assistance in testing and documenting test results with all new or modified SAP Business Objects reports/queries. Work with CFS IT to implement changes and fixes to the SAP Business Objects reporting application Assist the Business Analytics team in distributing recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports to all of the CFS departments. Assist the Strategic Pricing team with documenting and enhancing the existing pricing models used by CFS to price special price transactions and with documenting and reporting the performance of special pricing promotions run by CFS. Assist the Strategic Pricing team with documenting and reporting the performance of special pricing promotions run by CFS. Attend meetings with the Business Analytics and Strategic Pricing teams.
We prefer students that are entering their Junior or Senior year as of the Summer 2016, however, all are welcome to apply. To succeed in the Insights Program, you must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Power point, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We also require candidates to be enrolled in a related major in the department of interest and have some former work or internship experience.
Students majoring Finance or Information Technology (with an emphasis on analytics and reporting). Experience in MS Excel, preferred.
