Position Overview:
The primary function of this position is to assist in managing Latin America’s sales and distribution of the Business Imaging Systems Group [BISG] products in the Latin American market . This position will be responsible for the complete sales cycle of BISG products, from demand generation, product forecast, allocation to effectively increase market share and revenue targets by implementation and execution of strategic plans as per CLA upper management direction.

Responsibilities:
Administration in the areas of forecasting, bilingual communications, translation of documents which are available only in English, ability to prepare sales reports, establish territory budgets, develop Business Plan presentation for assigned territory

Prefer experience selling office equipment products (e.g. Copiers, Laser and Wide Format Printers, Consumables)

Knowledge of MDS, cost per copy concepts, hardware/ink consumption ratios analyses

Research markets as to trends, opportunities and competition, the political climate, the economic volatility, the cultural customs of the various areas, and new distribution channels

Coordinate with all internal support groups to successfully deliver Canon products and solutions (e.g. Logistics, Credit Dept, Marketing, Order Processing, etc)

Analyze competitor’s developments, market trends, and related information and regularly communicate this information, as well as pertinent recommendations to Canon’s upper management, for future strategy discussion

Self-training to gain a thorough knowledge of all products, not only in the product function, but also in their applications, uses and ultimately in their benefits to our customers. Thorough product knowledge of uses, benefits and applications must be utilized to properly demonstrate to the customer the differences between Canon products and those of our competitors, as well as to analyze relevant price differences

Provide customers with the highest standard of customer service through follow up, contact and consultation after the sale to protect and grow market share in assigned territory

Close sales, gather detailed information, and develop a sales plan for the account, analyze RFD and recommend course of action

Implement diverse sales activities and marketing programs from product inception, wholesale distribution, resellers, and retail channels for the Latin America Market

Focus on gathering requirements, guiding customers into solutions and providing technology expertise to distributors and/or end/users, ability to present to large audiences

Qualifications:
6years of relevant work experience required.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.

Experience in sales to the Latin America region required.

Excellent communication and consulting skills

Project management and planning skills required.

Ability to make excellent sales presentations and conduct business meetings to all levels in the organization

This position requires extensive travel and driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies

Ability to travel approx. 50% to Latin America

Bi-lingual skills in Spanish is highly preferred.
