Based in the Detroit, Michigan area, the Account Executive will work with new and existing customers to address their needs for factory automation. Canon Machine Vision is used in a wide range of growing robotic guidance applications including in the automotive industry. This is the one of the fastest growing area for the robotics industry. Develop and execute strategies to penetrate accounts in the manufacturing and factory automation industry, sell Machine Vision equipment and expand marketing efforts within assigned territory (Mainly Midwest area). Achieve given target.Report in a timely and effective manner all competitive sales and account activity that reveals market, distributor, customer and technical conditions.Process PO, shipping, safety, environmental and other paperwork related to sales.Assist and support Canon Channels of distribution with product knowledge, account awareness, and strategic analysis through sales presentations, product shows, training sessions, and other activities as deemed appropriate.Work with engineering team and provide support to the customers and partner companies.Develop and present progress within the assigned accounts with Canon management to distributor channel management upon request.Provide marketing, technical and administrative support to dealers, customers and internal departments to ensure outstanding relations and excellent customer support in all facets of daily activity. Minimum 3 years of B2B sales/business development experience preferably in the automotive manufacturing, robotic or machine vision industry.Requires sales experience in the automotive industry.Project management, and a strong business acumen, including negotiation and financial understanding preferred.Familiar with computer systems, software (LAN, PLC, Field Bus, Robotic programming language). Familiar with manufacturing equipment and factory automation highly preferred.Experience in managing customer relationships and closing sales processEntrepreneurial mindset to identify and develop new business opportunitiesBachelor’s degree in Science preferredProficiency in Japanese language (speak, write, read) helpful.The position requires the candidate to be located within a commutable distance to the Canon office in Novi, MIJob requires up to 50% travel, both in the US and occasional international travel.
