The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing existing customer business process workflow associated with key business applications, identifying process inefficiencies and architecting solutions designed to improve process workflow. Through their efforts, the Business Analyst consults with key personnel from the customer including line of business owners, IT application owners, and IT infrastructure personnel as well as resources within Canon and CIIS including Project Management, Solutions Consulting and Software Engineering.Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
Work directly with customers and Canon personnel to analyze existing customer business process workflows, developing detailed documentation associated with work process, process touch points, associated IT systems and line of business impact
Based upon identification of business process workflow, the Business Analyst develops and documents plans designed to eliminate business process inefficiencies enabling customers to automate and streamline existing process activities
Documents recommended solutions including hardware, software, training and process changes to customers and presents findings and proposals as part of on-going sales consulting engagements
Engages resources in Canon, CIIS and of third party partners in support of solution architecture and technical implementation of recommended business process enhancements
Provides primary or secondary project management support for business process related customer engagements. Through this function, the Business Analyst plays a key role in working on-site with the customer to manage implementation of the architected solution.
Documents implemented solutions for delivery to CIIS support organizations and for re-use with other customers presenting similar workflow requirements
Remains informed of existing and evolving industry standards and technologies by developing relationships with vendors, consultants, and professional associations.
Provides documentation skill, communication skill and presentation skill to expedite new business process and new business applications implementation.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred coupled with 3 – 5 years’ experience.
Authority: Operates independently, with decision-making ability within broad policy guidelines
Certifications: CBAP, PMP preferred
Experience with CRM, ECM
Proven success as a Business Analyst and ability to manage multiple projects of various sizes simultaneously
Proficient in IT technologies and in communicating technically with client IT professionals
Balance between technical and people skills
Significant experience in having analyzed and architected business process workflow activities for customer in either horizontal or vertical business applications.
Detailed knowledge in technology with specific background in general IT applications and infrastructure as well as effective methodology for driving workflow in key business applications/processes
Proactive and self-motivated
Proven ability to provide excellent client services
Plan schedule and track project timelines and milestones
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Manage local and remote resources
Commitment to hard work
Minimal Travel Required
