Specific Job Description (Accountabilities & Requirements)
> Gross Margin – reporting, analysis and forecasts
> Period Close – Analysis & reporting responsibilities including presenting results to senior staff
> Production Transaction Analysis and Reporting – review of job status and and variances. Analysis & financial close of open jobs. Variance review and capitalization
> Inventory
- Assists in periodic standard cost updates: scheduling, computations, inputs of price and through put variables, analysis of change
- Physical Inventory – assists in observation and in reconciliation to subledger balances
- Various inventory reporting and analysis requirements
> Reserves – Excess and Obsolete & LCM computations and journal entries
> Process Improvement awareness and engagement
> Balance Sheet reconciliations
Required Skills
> Accounting / Business degree required
> 3-5 years of Cost Accounting work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
> Analytical skills and ability to interface and partner with non-accounting personnel at various management levels
> Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
> Position requires extensive use of spreadsheets (complex formulas and data functions, pivot tables, charts ), working knowledge of Access, experience with ERP systems
> Recent and substantial Oracle inventory / cost experience highly desired
> Strong verbal and written commnication skills
> Accuracy and the ability to work with large quantities of detail is very important
> Position requires extra hours during peak periods
