Digital Marketing Manager — iTunes – Apple – Culver City, CA

The Digital Marketing Specialist for Apple Music and iTunes is responsible for US SEO/SEM efforts across all media lines of business (Music, Movies, TV, Books, News). This person must have expertise in SEM/SEO and be able to set strategy based on business objectives, and execute against this strategy. This person will work closely with his/her teammates in the Digital Marketing organization as well as cross functionally with Product Marketing, Production, Engineering, Business teams, and the Agency of Record. The specialist in this role will manage agency relations and oversee the agency team responsible for SEO/SEM in the US across Apple Music/iTunes. This individual will manage multiple high profile campaigns from inception to execution, as well as managing the day to day SEM/SEO activity for Apple Music and iTunes, ensuring best practices are met to leverage SEO and build compelling SEM plans.

Key Qualifications

5-7 years experience

Expert in search engine marketing across all platforms

Ability to manage, multitask, prioritize and build out roadmaps for multiple lines of business

Ability to manage at least 10-20 campaigns at a time

Expert in Google ad words, Youtube pre roll and search, Bing, campaign manager tools

Proficient in Marin and Kenshoo

Strong grasp of SEO required

Ability to manage engineers working on SEO and inextricably link to SEM practices

Ability to work cross functionally across marketing, product, and engineering teams

Willingness to travel weekly if needed

Ability to manage agency relationship and execution

Strong modeling skills preferred

Ability to gather and analyze large quantities of data

Strong reporting skills : ability to take large amounts of data and organize into digestible weekly reports

Previous experience with SEO design, knowledge of page structure and tagging requirements a plus

Grasp of media metadata feeds a plus, previous experience with large volumes of metadata preferred

Technical experience a plus : Json, RSS, API documentation


The Digital Marketing Specialist role will have a media budget to manage based on KPIs, showing consistent ROI and strategic thinking in application of funds.
