EMAIL MARKETING MANAGER

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: (If you get the job that is)
Managing email marketing campaigns end-to-end, including planning, targeting, set-up, testing, execution, reporting and optimization.
Creating email reporting dashboards and custom reports analyzing campaign performance in order to provide actionable recommendations and deliver continuous improvements to our email program.
Championing continuous advancement of our email features and capabilities including targeting, personalization, template development in collaboration with multiple stakeholders: development teams, designers, business teams and more.
Staying current with best practices, strategies, and industry standards related to email.

2+ years of email marketing experience, including strategy, implementation, analytics and reporting. Knowledge of best practices for email creative and templates, segmentation, dynamic content and testing methodologies.
Expertise with SQL Databases. Although experience with an off-the-shelf ESP gives you necessary knowledge on email marketing, you’ll need to be comfortable pulling queries in a database with our internal databases. No drag-and-drop editors here : )
Killer analytic skills. We’re not afraid to try new things as long as data backs up our decisions. Must be able to pull and combine reports from various tools and provide analysis to the team.
Experience managing large email lists (1 million+) in an enterprise-level Email Service Provider (such as SilverPop, Mandrill, Bronto, iContact, etc.).
Strong knowledge of Excel and HTML and ability to learn technical systems and in-house tools quickly.
Experience with email lead generation campaigns.
Experience with spam score testing and deliverability.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of additional analytical and database tools (eg SQL, Access)
Experience in fashion, retail, e-commerce or daily deals / flash sales
Familiarity with planning, implementing and analyzing online marketing initiatives across multiple online channels
Experience designing and executing online customer experiences and / or implementing online marketing programs
Ability to kick one’s trash in ping pong or can make a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies, either will do.
