The Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing design and implementation of video surveillance security systems at various Canon America’s sites. This person will work with IT and Facility department of Canon America’s company sites and third party system integrators.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Oversees projects for customer-driven security system design and system integration projects. Responsible for obtaining customer requirements, developing functional requirements, managing matrix of various resources involved in project delivery, and budget estimation. Provides system architecture and technical guidance in areas of networking technology and information security. May manage product certifications programs. May assist in the maintenance of servers and/or network infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
- Have 3 to five years of relevant experience in the IP security video camera installation and integration is required.
- Intimate knowledge of services, hardware, infrastructure and systems architecture for IP cameras systems required.
- Experience should include knowledge of technical, physical and operational security elements.
- Experience in physical security systems is a plus
- Physical Security Professional (PSP); Certified Protection Professional (CPP) (or test ready)
- Registered Communications Cabling Designer (RCCD) designation a plus
- Axis Certification Program (System Design track) certified a plus
- The position requires some overnight travel which is less than 50%
