Graphic Web Designer/Developer – Weber Advertising & Marketing – Lancaster, PA


Weber Advertising & Marketing is looking for a talented and tech savvy graphic artist who can handle complete web design and development, including coding.

Primary Job Functions:
Development

Translate designs into functional websites and email blasts from the ground up

Make edits to current websites and email blasts

Write, test and debug code written in HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and MySQL

Provide input to the design process based on user experience and technical possibilities

Remain proficient in trending web development skills (responsive design, mobile design, html5, etc.)

Integrate information from other websites through RSS, XML, JSON feed

Design

Work with concept wireframes to create pre-development mockups of websites, landing pages & emails

Layout banners/ads/other web graphics using Adobe Creative Suite

Help 10-person art team with various print design projects, including ads, billboards, catalogs, posters, etc.

General

Work cooperatively with other designers and coders to determine the scope of the project

Work cooperatively with several members of the agency (art director, printing department, account executives & creative staff) to deliver clients’ expectations on a weekly basis.

Follow instructions to ensure all client deadlines are met

Closely follow our proofreading policies to ensure errors are eliminated

Keep a daily timesheet to track time and projects

Benefits/Compensation

$35,000 Annual Salary (negotiable for exceptional candidates)

Sample Daily Tasks:
Company staffing updates for website via database

Build HTML/CSS header and footer for new sites

Modify jQuery slideshows to show both text and images

Change homepage banners

Update content, run tests, schedule and send email blasts

Layout print design projects (dependent upon daily workload)

Hours: 8am – 5pm, Mon – Fri with a 1 hour lunch; occasional OT required, based on client needs

The Right Candidate Must Have:
Experience in the web development process, from design through production

Proficiency in hand coding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery

Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL and database structures

Advanced skills in creating images for both web & print using InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver

Strong attention to detail

A positive attitude and friendly, professional demeanor – even during hectic times

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
