Growth Fund Coordinator – Norman – University of Oklahoma – Norman, OK


OTD is seeking a highly organized, proactive program manager

who will provide administrative coordination for the University Growth

Fund. The Coordinator will work closely

with the Executive Director of OTD to promote Growth Fund initiatives on all

three OU campuses and manage the daytoday operations related to processing

applications for funding and following up with funding recipients. The ideal candidate will possess a positive,

cando attitude and be able to work with many different stakeholders across

various areas and layers of the University.

Office will be located on the OU Norman campus

Job Responsibilities:
Prepare materials explaining/ promoting process

for solicitation of funding applications

Promote solicitation of applications for funding

among university faculty

Receive and organize submissions

Screen submissions against qualifying criteria

Manage communication with applicants

Manage communication with Growth Fund Committee

Notify Growth Fund Committee members and

applicants of meeting schedule

Secure space for Committee to meet with

applicants

Arrange catering as needed for meeting

Communicate with applicants of Committee

decision

Coordinate followup with recipients as needed

Actively participate in University, local and

regional events/activities promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and intellectual

property awareness

Post latest news to the website(s) and social

media pages

Insure accuracy of content and information

Manage RSS feed, Facebook, Twitter and other

social media pages

Perform other duties as assigned by the

Executive Director.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and

24 months of

experience in Communications, Event Planning, Project Management or similar field.

Skills

:

Website, social media content management and electronic communication experience

Extremely strong work ethic, meticulousness, strong organization skills and motivation;

Proven skills building relationships with faculty, staff, students, clients, customers, entrepreneurs, or investors, etc.;

Clarity of thought and communication;

Confidence, presence, and the ability to instill confidence in OU faculty members, entrepreneurs, and investors through competent, thorough management of responsibilities;

A problemsolving approach to operations and customer service;

A style that models the values of optimism, initiative and collaboration, while maintaining a strong focus on achieving results.
