Position Overview:
Canon USA currently seeks a Logistics Associate to organize and handle a variety of logistics issues, primarily in the areas of transportation and customer service. Responsible for: 1.) Root cause and corrective action research utilizing both internal and external systems. 2.) Planning and coordination of meetings and project schedules. 3.) Alignment of internal business objectives with external customer expectations.

Must be detailed oriented and able to organize data and documents required for Supply Chain compliance research, appeal and reporting. This person will also work with internal and external parties to ensure completion of assigned tasks and deliverables.

Trading Partner supply chain compliance charge back research, system coding and reporting.

Interacting with the Business Units, Credit Department and transportation service providers regarding logistics activities.

Maintain and distribute Trading Partner Routing and Compliance Guidelines.

Be prepared to provide assistance in developing new innovations to the supply chain compliance chargeback investigation and appeals process.

Interface with the Consumer Products Logistics distribution centers to reduce or eliminate chargebacks.

Identify and report, by Trading Partner, the compliance guidelines that do not result in a financial penalty but when positively acted upon will result in an improvement in customer service.

Address customer service issues from a supply chain compliance perspective.

Tracking & Reporting on both inbound and outbound shipments.

Cross train in other areas within the Consumer Products Logistics sub-division to increase professional knowledge and organizational effectiveness.

Bachelors degree required

MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Problem Solving/Innovation

Use computer tools and researching both internal and external systems to investigate, appeal and resolve vendor compliance chargebacks.

Find innovative ways to better align with business units and distribution center operations to improve overall communications and logistics service performance.

Scope of Responsibility/ Freedom to Act

Accurate and detailed investigation, appeal and reporting of vendor compliance claims.

Identification of financial claim responsibility.

Independent time management ability to meet suspense dates interaction

Effective interaction with internal customers .e.g., Sales, Credit, and Logistics divisions.

Effective interactions with CUSA trading partner supply chain , logistics, and purchasing counterparts.
