The Web/Mobile Development & Strategy department is responsible for developing and creating of all the label’s web and mobile products, including websites, mobile sites, splash pages, banner ads, etc.
High Level Job Description:
The Sr. Director Web/Mobile Development & Strategy position exists to (i) strategize and implement artist specific web and mobile products on behalf of all Warner Bros. Records’ artists and brands and (ii) work with internal and external stakeholders to create products that drive increased revenue and audience reach.
Additionally, the Sr. Director Web/Mobile Development & Strategy position will have a high degree of visibility across all company departments and will manage all aspects of WBR’s web and mobile products to ensure all details of the projects are delivered in a timely and concise manner. This person will supervise a team of 4-6 designers and creators and manage timelines, budgets, and content/product development plans for the various projects.
Detailed Job Description/Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day development and creation of web and mobile products for all WBR artists and brands
Maintain the strategic direction of the team while demonstrating knowledge in all aspects of web and mobile development and creative
Facilitate artist-specific strategy discussion and ideation with external clients and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with artists/management to deliver high-quality, creative products
Create and oversee strategies with dynamic, empirically-driven messaging to create personalized customer experiences based on information from analytics/data platforms
Work with product leads and analytic data teams to derive insights from web and mobile projects and ensure KPIs are being met
Drive consistent brand and creative direction across all online properties, maximizing revenue potential and fan engagement
Partner with internal teams, including creative, marketing, analytics, sales, and others, to define business goals and expected consumer needs/outcomes
Create processes and training documents and lead workshops on best practices around strategic digital products
Partner closely with fan engagement team to deliver integrated influencer and social media strategies
Coordinate product scheduling with external clients and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with WMG corporate on compliance, trademarks, and domain names
Recruit, develop, and retain producers and designers for online product and strategy
Initiate, leverage, and manage 3rd party relationships and partners in the digital product space
Work with label and Corporate business development teams to experiment with and assess new web and mobile technologies
Be a strategic and creative leader in the web and mobile space
5+ years professional experience in the design, development, and/or project management of web products
Articulate, strategic, and pragmatic problem-solver with ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Experienced with SAS sites, usability, SEO, and information design
Excellent ability to write, speak, and use images to clearly and persuasively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
Proven ability in the creation and direction of quality digital graphic design and digital product architecture design for the web
Strong design and project management skills with the ability to multi-task and deliver against strict deadlines
Proven track record of social media and branded content strategy development and execution across major channels
Exposure to web analytics software, e-mail marketing, blogs, SMS technologies, RSS feeds, etc.
Experienced with A/B and multivariate digital testing for complex digital consumer marketing
Keen attention to detail
