Position Overview:
The ITCG Image Communication Product Marketing Division is seeking an Associate Marketing Specialist to support market research and department functions within the Camera/Video marketing team. The candidate will be responsible for researching and analyzing market, consumer and industry trends to support business objectives. Individual will utilize Microsoft Excel and additional software to create weekly and monthly POS market reports to track Canon and competitor product sales. The individual will also be responsible for developing a weekly new brief report of current and relevant topics related to new products, retailers, competitors, and market trends. In addition, the candidate will manage product loan sample inventory for events and support adhoc requests, as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Create weekly and monthly POS reports of competitive and Canon branded products that evaluates brand share, channels, ASP, and sales trends.
  • Develop weekly new products, retailers, competitors, and market trends news brief.
  • Create, analyze and distribute various financial and marketing reports for camera and video products and consumer electronics industry.
  • Support registered user analysis, marketing reports and administration.
  • Summarize key consumer and technology trends reports.
  • Schedule related topics webcasts; distribute and summarize various industry, market, and consumer related trend reports.
  • Support general adhoc market research reports and projects using available primary and secondary market research tools, as needed.
  • May attend trade shows and/or conferences to gather consumer, industry and competitor insights.
  • Manage product sample/ loans inventory pertaining to cataloging new equipment, handling loan shipping logistics for tradeshows, events and personal requests. Record, review and maintain current product inventory to ensure

samples are available, classified appropriately, and up-to-date.

  • Support adhoc administrative responsibilities such as calendar of events and meeting scheduling, as needed.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline and at least one year of related experience. Candidate must have strong experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred. Candidate should be detail-oriented with strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills. Candidate must be proactive and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Position requires up to 10% travel.
