Position Overview:
Develops and(or) delivers specific marketing plans and activities for product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. May develop business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. May engage in market research activities, monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs. May work with R&D and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s). Works on problems of limited scope. May interface with sales channels and prospective business partners to deliver product presentations or proposals.

Printer and software product testing with focus on emerging technology, usability and features that can drive product innovation benchmarks for Canon, with emphasis on professional market segments

ITCG printer SDK support, including sourcing of prospective software developers, to drive software initiatives in support of increased printing

Easy Ink Delivery (EID) setup, launch support and process improvement for new products. (Note: EID contributes about $500K/month in revenue to Canon USA)

Big data analytics to support new product, new market and new channel initiatives

Primary and secondary market research in support of new product, new market and new channel initiatives

Project management of innovation initiatives

Vendor management, legal and administrative support as needed

Minimum 4 year college degree with 1 year technical marketing or product marketing experience

Ability to evaluate and analyze data sets with basic statistical measurements (mean, median, mode, standard deviation)

High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Proficiency with desktop and mobile operating systems

Aptitude for technical learning of software and hardware

Strong oral and written communication skills
