Position Overview:

Canon Information and Imaging Solutions, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Software Development Engineer to work with the Medical Solutions Development software team working on a new medical devices in the areas of DNA

analysis, molecular diagnostics, eye-care, dental office applications, x-ray inspection.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the engineering team, the candidate will be expected to perform tasks, such as requirement analysis, risk analysis, software architecture, design, development, documentation, and peer code reviews.

Additionally the candidate will work side by side with test engineers to analyze and resolve issues. Additionally the candidate will be expected to participate in multi-disciplined teams across multiple sites to help

troubleshoot new and existing issues.

Qualifications:

+Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar degree with strong experience using C, C++, and/or C#

+Exposure to and understanding of one or more of the following is highly desired: Software development, Embedded linux development, EMR, DICOM, Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Strong mathematical

skills, User Interface design and usability, Design Controls, Agile Development

+Analytical and disciplined engineering approach to solving problems

+Complete team Player who puts team goals first

+Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

+Willingness to rapidly learn new technologies and apply them in creating proof-of-concept prototypes
