Position Overview:
Canon U.S.A.’s Customer Support Operations, part of the Imaging Technologies & Communications Group, is seeking a motivated, self-starter to join their Service Marketing team as a Marketing Specialist. Responsibilities are diverse and will include, but are not limited to, developing advertising and specific marketing plans and other activities to establish, enhance, or distinguish Canon’s customer service & support within the competitive arena. Develops business plans and positioning in the marketplace. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. Works on the planning and implementation of projects that support the marketing function. Interacts directly with product managers to identify new marketing opportunities, prepares regular marketing activity reports and responds to questions from the sales organization. Responsibilities may also include: maintaining marketing budgets/expenses, coordinating trade show activities, website development, social media activities, , tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions, and marketing/sales collateral. This position will interface with various Canon consumer departments and personnel at all levels, as well as ad agencies and other external marketing services vendors. Responsibilities:
Provides high level marketing support, which may include conducting research, setting up and attending trade shows, determining customer needs, and conveying product information to dealers.

Develops advertising and specific marketing plans and other activities to establish, enhance, or distinguish Canon’s customer service & support within the competitive arena and develops business plans and positioning in the marketplace.

Responsible for the marketing of new services and related support materials, and interacts with sales channels and delivers product presentations.

Conducts competitive analyses and provides trends and recommendations to upper management.

Responsible for developing promotional materials and tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

Candidate should have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, bachelor’s in marketing or business admin preferred

Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.

Positions requiring 25% or more travel
