Specific Job Description (Accountabilities & Requirements)

  • Own core & complex components of the accounting and reporting process – equity, bonuses, stock compensation, consolidations, and a key player in the internal and external financial report preparation and analysis.
  • Provide ad-hoc technical accounting research and analysis for issues and transactions which arise.
  • Drive organization-wide control improvements through:

o Design & execution of detective financial analysis

o Improving overall quality and effectiveness of reconciliations

o Refining processes to embed control points within processes

  • Actively engage in new systems implementation and new process Design activities related to converging processes, practices, and systems.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum 5 or more years of total experience with 3 or more years of Big 4 public accounting firm experience
  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP, FASB codification and SEC reporting standards, as well as experience with technical research and preparation of accounting memorandums.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of a global organization and manage relationships with external parties
  • Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong techncial research ability
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
