Strategic Communications Graphic Designer – AAC Inc – Monterey, CA


The Strategic Communications graphic designer will create visual concepts, using Adobe In-Design, Photoshop and Illustrator or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate our target audiences and sponsor. The designer will develop the overall layout, production design, and various applications for the CHDS bi-annual alumni magazine, HSDL digital newsletter, all outreach materials, brochures, data calls, and corporate reports both in digital and hard copy formats.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field

· Must have mastered InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop with the ability to quickly use these tools from day one. Working knowledge of the rest of Adobe Creative Suite

· Prefer experience with HTML and digital design

· Photographic skills a plus

· Must be able to multi-task with excellent customer service skills

· Needs a positive, results-oriented attitude and must be a team player

· Strong interpersonal communications skills and the ability to accept artwork critiques

· Deadline-oriented with high attention to detail

Additional tasks required:

· Provide support for digitally pushing content to interested patrons in the form of regular newsletters, targeted email alerts, social networks, rss feeds, or other

· Gather user/audience feedback and work with Strategic Communications team to analyze and publish data

· Provide support and coordination for CHDS participation in special recruitment/media events

· Provide input of incoming data on all CHDS websites, updating and tagging information as needed

· Provide support for all data calls and projects that require information from the CHDS websites

· Mailings for correspondence and data calls of the Center

Required Experience
Articulate with practical experience in Adobe Suite.
