Responsibilities:
This position will provide excellent exposure to data services and enterprise systems. Current goals of Intelligent Waves Research and Development encompass utilizing in memory clustered data nodes providing geospatial information. Opportunities to assist with internal and client IT projects are also a source of experience. Within the Intelligent Waves team, communication is very open and information readily available. Daily interaction with team leads and colleagues will provide further direction and understanding. However, the selected software engineering intern will need the ability and drive to take an idea and run with it.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements :
Candidate must be working towards B.S. or higher degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent technology program

Knowledge and demonstrated capability of standard programming languages and debugging techniques, i.e. java, C++, C#

Understanding and appreciation of computer system architecture and operating systems

Ideal candidates will have experience with Linux operating system, data structures, SQL, noSQL, OpenGL, and IDE tools like eclipse

Knowledge of Android and Embedded Linux OS is a plus

Knowledge of RSS data feeds a plus

Knowledge of Databases a plus

Knowledge of networking a plus

Knowledge of PKI a plus

Knowledge of GeoSpatial data a plus

Must be willing to learn and adapt

Self motivated with ability to work independently with requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance in the future
