The Boeing Company seeks a System Administrator to work in the Multimedia Message Manager (M3) program at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) headquarters in Springfield, VA. This position requires the applicant to act as a system administrator to support customer at customer site. In addition, this position requires that the individual be able to investigate, analyze and resolve both UNIX/Linux based system problems. The position will require contacts with customers and subcontractors. A strong background in UNIX/Linux is a must.

Typical Education/Experience:
Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Basic qualifications:
3 or more years experience with Multimedia Message Manager (M3) application versions, V3.3 or V4.x including message database structure, user database, queries, agents and outbound message structure, COI’s, DAC’s, backside feeds and Special User privileges accounts.

Experience with Solaris operating system and environments

Knowledge of web server technologies (Oracle Web & Directory Server, Apache, Tomcat, LDAP and PKI)

Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting, JAVA script, XML

Knowledge of AUTODIN, AP, REUTERS, FBIS, RSS, ICMS message formats a definite plus

Knowledge of MarkLogic

Experience training users in a one on one environment as well as small groups

Must have the ability to perform routine system maintenance and computer system administrative functions

Must have some experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of computer systems and individual peripheral devices

Preferred qualifications:
Database administration experience using MySQL

Knowledge of database management systems, including ElasticSearch

Strong knowledge of system administration responsibilities in a UNIX/Linux environment.

Experience with Red Hat Linux environments

Knowledge of Unix operating systems

Experience operating in a DoD Intelligence environment or other national level agency preferred

Information Transport Service (ITS) connectivity analysis

Experience creating and installing PKI Certs

Performs analysis of system operations
