This IT Systems Support Professional will work directly with the KSU Sports and Entertainment Park (KSUSP) as well as the ESS WebGroup to assist in the development and maintenance of desktop and mobile websites, as well as assisting in the implementation of KSUSP digital marketing initiatives. Job duties will include assisting in the design and development of RWD sites, including navigation design, page layout and design, HTML and CSS coding, and page creation using WordPress and the OmniUpdate content management systems. Additionally, this position will assist in the design, development and implementation of KSUSP digital marketing initiatives, including HTML e-mails, social media, animated graphics, and other targeted marketing content. Lastly, this position will provide web and technical customer service to both external and internal KSUSP customers, including patrons, students, faculty and staff.
Position Interaction: This position will primarily interact with the KSU Sports and Entertainment Park General Manager, the Marketing and Box Office Director, and other KSUSP staff. This position will also interact with the ESS WebGroup team, including the Director of Web Services and Mobile Development, the Assistant Director of Web Services and Mobile Development, and the ESS WebGroup Development team. This position will have occasional interaction with other KSUSP event promoters, patrons, KSU students, faculty and staff.
Advise and Counsel: This position will advise and counsel the KSU Sports and Entertainment Park, as well act as the adviser for KSU Night Owl Productions on Website content design, creation and layout. Additionally, they will advise on Website best practices, including usability, search engine optimization, and the use of web analytics.
Supervise Staff-Level Positions: This position will not supervise other staff-level positions.
10% Website Design Website design includes creating design themes and elements in CSS, as well as laying out pages in KSUSP content management systems (WordPress, OmniUpdate OU Campus).
30%Website Development Website development includes building sites and pages using KSUSP content management systems (WordPress, OmniUpdate OU Campus).
15% Website Maintenance Website maintenance includes editing existing KSUSP sites with new textual or graphical content, working with RSS feeds, managing links, building online forms, and optimizing pages and their content.
20% Digital Marketing Initiatives Digital marketing initiatives include the design, development and implementation of targeted marketing communications through the design and development of HTML e-mails, social media content, and animated graphics.
20% Event Day Responsibilities Event day responsibilities includes assisting KSUSP operations staff, overseeing KSUSP marketing staff, as well as creating real-time content for events through social media outlets.
5% Customer Support Customer support includes assisting staff and end-user issues regarding KSUSP web sites.
