As a military spouse, Stephanie J. has always had a special relationship with flexibility. However, when her husband’s job moved the family somewhere new, Stephanie found that she didn’t just want a flexible job, she needed a flexible job. Time to Get Serious
Stephanie moved with her young daughter when her husband was reassigned to Los Angeles Air Force Base. As a military family, moving around is normal. And that also means that finding a new job after every move is normal.

A Positive Impact

I am also able to pick up and drop off my daughter at school and be present during times of transition for her.”
Three years of remote work has had such a dramatic impact on Stephanie that she’s positive she could never work in an office again. “I’ve been able to co-lead [my daughter’s] girl scout troop and volunteer at many of her school and soccer functions, and be there for all her school programs even while my husband is traveling—all while earning an income to help provide for my family.”
