Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc. is an Engineering & Architecture professional full service consulting firm offering a full spectrum of engineering design services including civil, construction, electrical, environmental, mechanical, structural as well as construction management services and complementary architectural services. These services are provided across multiple markets including but not limited to Aviation, Construction, Education, Energy, Healthcare, Transportation and Water Waste/Water.

Overall Position goals:
To research potential business opportunities, both long-term and immediate, and strategize how we can position ourselves to capture that business.

Specific Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of our business capabilities and qualifications
  • Stay knowledgeable of industry trends, emerging markets, program funding, financial trends
  • Identify long-term business opportunities
  • Research the requirements to do business in target area/market or with target client
  • Research and monitor diversity programs and/or legislation for target clients or geographic areas
  • Monitor targeted clients and identify immediately available opportunities
  • Distribute immediate business opportunities to Engineering sections
  • Research and monitor capital spending plans of target clients
  • Submit and maintain vendor registrations and prequalifications with target clients
  • Provide research for presentations and special projects
  • Attend business development events
  • Administrator for Milhouse Intranet and Deltek systems.
  • Administrator for Supplier Network and ISNetworld programs

Regular activities to fulfill responsibilities:

  • Read business and industry newsletters, magazines, budgetary documents and RSS feeds to acquire knowledge of trends, funding and developing markets
  • Search our target client list for recently released solicitations
  • Track all identified opportunities – Immediate, midrange or long term
  • Distribute weekly opportunity Watchlist to Section Leaders and Executive Team
  • Research and provide reports on potential target areas, markets, clients, competitors
  • Perform request specific research for special projects
  • Attend business development events, vendor fairs, training sessions and webinars
  • Register Milhouse as a preferred vendor with target clients/municipalities
  • Maintain Milhouse’s registration credentials
  • Filter opportunity and teaming requests to the appropriate Section Leader/Executive Team member
  • Assist Marketing team and Proposal team as needed
  • Attend Milhouse Staff meetings
