Reports to: Content Solutions Manager Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop new leads by actively prospecting using editorial reviews, the internet, telemarketing, publisher content and other resources • Demonstrates strong leadership and professionalism at all times with internal and external customers • Demonstrates excellent presentation skills; represents the department with clear and concise knowledge and expertise • Provide timely answers to all client inquiries/quotes on behalf of our publisher partners • Ensure publisher expectations, rules and regulations are adhered to • Close, maintain and record all sales activity (including prospects/quotes) in Customer Relationship Management software utilized by Sheridan sales representatives • Works directly with Estimating department for production quotes, both for foreign and domestic production • Evaluate the market and our customer’s need for new product or service offerings that complement the content and increase value of the sale • Complete sales reports, annual sales projections, and other sales-related projects as assigned by the Content Solutions Manager • Provide support to the Manager as needed on research projects • Actively maintain a comprehensive list of reference material to monitor daily for breaking medical developments • Stay informed on all Sheridan technology products (specifically ePrints) as it relates to repurposing content • Stay informed on pharmaceutical and medical device news; subscribe to/and routinely review websites, special alerts, RSS feeds as assigned by the Manager • Attend industry/publisher annual meetings; provide a written report to the Manager Additional Accountabilities: • Follow all required safety procedures such as: PPE’s, Ergonomics, and etc. Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees. Assist with housekeeping in Content Solutions department • Other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills: • Aptitude and passion for sales duties and responsibilities • Excellent verbal/written communication skills • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Must be organized and detail-oriented • May require limited travel • Act with integrity. Demonstrate sound business and professional ethics. Show consistency of principles, values and behaviors • Self-motivated; ability to work independently to achieve goals is essential Education and Work Experience: • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required |
