What You’ll Do/Need
The Copywriter is responsible for creating strong, brand-appropriate, creative content. The Copywriter works with the Lead Copywriter and Copywriting team and collaborates with editors, content strategists, designers and other members of the Marketing team.
Work with Project Managers, Team Leaders, Directors, etc. to determine strategic and creative needs for internal and external marketing efforts
Develop, create and write media for internal and external initiatives including TV commercials, catalogs, brochures, internal magazines, client loyalty programs, emails and direct mail efforts to meet marketing objectives
Maintain essential role in broadcast production team, directing the execution of commercials, videos, presentations, voiceovers and music scores, and assist in monitoring production costs
Coordinate updates/changes to the corporate website content
Research, create and publish original content to the website including weekly news articles for distribution via our RSS news feeds
Work with in-house creative team to design promotions for increasing traffic and conversions on the site
Work closely with Interactive Creative Director to help guide interface designs and changes based on content needs
Set strategy and implementation of social media marketing campaigns
Develop copy that conforms to layout and other design restrictions yet maintains the consistent voice and style of the website
Bachelor’s degree in communication, advertising, marketing, journalism or related field
Three years of general writing and editorial experience for an internet-based audience
Experience in TV/radio script writing and post production
Experience in search engine optimization (SEO) and search marketing best practices
Strong knowledge and experience in web marketing and social media
Experience in reputation management using social media and other web tools
Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Expert at conceptualizing, brainstorming, and bringing great ideas to life
Excellent verbal and visual/presentation communication skills
Ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and flexible environment and meet short deadlines with minimal supervision
