POSITION TITLE: Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager LOCATION/DEPT.: DHQ/Development and Communications Department REPORTS TO (TITLE): Digital Marketing Manager OUTCOMES The Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager will be responsible for implementing branded digital content for Corps Community Centers within The Salvation Army Chicago Metropolitan Division. The Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager must have experience in producing original content for marketing strategies and programs. This includes working in collaboration with cross-team staff, vendors, and volunteers to manage content for all digital platforms including direction for all Corps Community Center websites, email, social media, peer to peer and mobile platforms. RELATIONSHIPS This individual interacts with a wide range of contacts within The Salvation Army and in these contacts must act as a representative of the Army and its Mission. SUPERVISION RECEIVED Under general supervision of the Web Marketing Manager with considerable freedom to plan, schedule and carry out responsibilities within established policies and guidelines. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS The individual will be evaluated on how effectively the outcomes of this position are achieved, as well as the timeliness and completeness of accomplishing assigned goals. POSITION LIMITATIONS This individual will only commit Army resources that have been allocated or approved. This individual will keep the Digital Marketing Manager informed on all critical issues relating to their area of responsibility. This individual will adhere to all policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is required to do moderate physical work. In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to use standard office equipment and a PC. The work environment for this position includes an office environment with a low noise level. Must be able to travel to multiple sites and locations.
