We are seeking an Interactive/Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team! This individual will be responsible for the development and execution of digital/social media/online marketing initiatives to engage customers and partners by enhancing brand awareness in conjunction with the Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop, implement and manage innovative social media strategies and programs consistent with strategic marketing initiatives
• Create and maintain online content including the company’s social media channels and social network (RUniverse.org), including but not limited to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIN, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, various blogs and other social media profiles. Content can include photos, digital imagery, videos, copy and blog/conversation content
• Responsible for daily posts/tweets to all applicable media channels
• Measure performance and report analytics on the impact and effectiveness of the company’s web and social media presence on the overall marketing efforts
• Monitor and track the company’s online communities content and online channels daily
• Maintain the consistency of brand messaging across all web and social media platforms
• Monitor Dscoop Forum and disseminate to Sales, Product Managers or Area VP’s of appropriate information and content
• Coordinate website optimization and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies
• Coordinate email marketing campaigns in conjunction with the company’s marketing initiatives and goals.
• Monitor and evaluate trends and techniques in social media tools and methodologies.
• Assist in the development and design of conventional and multi-media presentations combining still imagery, sound, text, video and animation for online, webinar and direct presentations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, interactive media, visual communications or other related fields
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in marketing, web design, or related fields with hands-on experience in the development and management of websites, interactive or social media
• Solid knowledge of design and print production
• Ability to work on both Macintosh and PC computer operating systems
• Knowledge of web 2.0 technologies, including social networking, blogs and RSS feeds
• Proficient with the following:
• Flash
• Dreamweaver
• JavaScript
• HTML/CSS code
• iMovie (or other video editing software)
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Adobe Acrobat
• Adobe InDesign
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast paced environment
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Excellent organizational skills
