InternalCommunication Coordinator

TheInternal Communication Coordinator will work as a member of the Public AffairsDepartment staff to support the APH mission and strategic priorities.Successful candidate will work independently and as a team member to implementthe Public Affairs internal communication plan. Position reports directly tothe Director of Government and Community Affairs.

Major Duties andResponsibilities

Supportestablished guiding principles of internal communication, with a primary goalof connecting APH employees to corporate strategic plan goals and values. Overseeinternal communication vehicles, including digital monitors, APH home page, and In Touch , the APH in-housenewsletter. Develop,implement, and maintain a comprehensive, year-round schedule of text, photographic,and video content for digital signage throughout AP H H. Ensure that content is accessible to all staff. Workwith DigitalSignage, a cloud-based signage platform, to create templates,media, and campaigns, and to build automated schedules and playlists. Troubleshootminor network and player issues, and inform CTS (APH Computer TechnologyServices) or DigitalSignage of major issues with network related equipment. Organize,produce, and distribute In Touch newsletter every other month, working in collaboration with other PublicAffairs staff members. Workwith departments, teams, and staff throughout APH to gather information. Assistwith implementation of the APH Intranet and bulletin boards throughout thefacility. Conducttours of APH for both staff and visitors. DESIREDKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Excellentorganization and time management skills Abilityto research, analyze, compile, and catalogue information Strongcommunication skills with the ability to convey complex information in clear, conciseterms Demonstrateexperience forming relationships among diverse populations Abilityto make print materials and digital visuals accessible for people with visionloss Photography,videography, and graphic design skills Demonstratethe ability to convey the APH history, mission, and goals both verbally and inwriting Abilityto learn various technology platforms, programs, and interfaces

Education, Training, andExperience Requirements:
Bachelor’sDegree Proficientknowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Access, Power Point, andExcel Fundamentalunderstanding of html, file formats for video, audio, and image files and howthese file types interact together. Knowledge of RSS Feeds and file conversion Proficientin the use of the internet and social media platforms Proficientin the use of digital cameras, downloading images and video, and basicmanipulation of images Experienceplanning, coordinating, and hosting events Projectmanagement experience helpful
