Position Overview:
Machine operators’ main objective is commitment to quality and fulfilling the customer’s orders on time. The primary machine being operated is a tube mill extruder and hydraulic machine. This position is responsible for overseeing, operating, and troubleshooting machines that perform circle forms, welding, and plastic extrusion, before the product is sent to assembly and packaging. This is a fast-paced position that requires complex machine operating experience and close attention to detail and quality.
Pay: Begins at $12/hour, with temp-to-hire opportunity
Hours: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift, 6:30am – 3:00pm (overtime and/or weekends as required)
Position Responsibilities:
Examine, inspect and measure raw materials
Set up production line to manufacture production orders to each customer’s specifications
Measures the specified parameters and makes production line adjustments as needed during the manufacturing process to produce a quality product
Monitor production line cycles and mill operations for effective equipment operations
Changing out milling – rolls, coils, and cobbles
Utilizing a hydraulic machine to feed mill (steel rolls)
Manually switch tubes in the machines
Manually switch color pallets and other dimensions
Maintaining inventory of all raw materials at the production line to enable a continual process
Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as required and necessary
Troubleshoot potential production issues and resolve these issues
Assist Maintenance when necessary
Evaluate and inspect finished products to verify conformance to Customer specifications
Keep work place clean and organized
Follow all Safety Standards Compliance rules and regulations
Position Requirements:
Five years’ machine operating experience required
Human Machine Interface (HMI) touch screen applications in a manufacturing environment
HS Diploma or GED
Vocational school training in automotive, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatics is preferred
Follow written and verbal instructions
Able to lift 50 lbs.; able to lift 30 lbs. frequently throughout the day
Able to bend, stoop, push, pull, kneel, climb, and reach above head repetitively
Able to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hour shifts
Strong visual acuity including the ability to: inspect small parts, operation of machine and measuring devices, operation of small tools, and operation of motor vehicles and equipment
