Position Summary:

As an Intern on the New Business Development Team (NBD), you’ll play an incredibly important role in the growth of our company. The skills you will learn the will help you become an account and/or sales facing executive at a technology company or creative agency. Reporting to the Director of New Business Development, your efforts will be primarily focused on researching our top eCommerce targets (retailers and brands). You will have the opportunity to work with different departments at Invodo to truly understand our business and the importance of cross departmental coordination. To be successful you’ll need to be passionate about our business, thrive in a flexible environment and have a desire to learn all about our potential customers.


  • Learning about Invodo to understand why we do what we do and how that helps our customers
  • Researching top prospective customers to create a strong prospect pipeline for the new business development team
  • Manage and maintain activity, contacts and accounts in to ensure high priority prospects are always on your communication list
  • Participation in both internal and client-facing meetings
  • Collaborate on projects with your NBD development intern counterpart(s)
  • Stay up-to-date on prospective customers’ news through various list providing services, LinkedIn, Google searches, RSS feeds, your network, etc.
  • Work closely with your team (listed below) to determine top targets, build org charts and define prospecting strategy

Who Will Do Well in This Role:

  • Junior or Senior pursuing a degree (BS/BA) in Business (General Administration, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, etc.)

  • Desire to constantly learn and process new information about our industry, solution, partners, and competitors

  • A strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun, demanding environment
  • Meticulous attention to organization, detail and quality
  • Proficient with Salesforce (or other CRM) and MS Office, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel

Some Other Important Notes:

  • PAID internship – $12/hr
  • 15 – 20 hours per week (2 or 3 days/week in our downtown office)
  • Downtown office location – 7th and Brazos
  • Opportunity to be better at Ping Pong than 95% of Austin residents
  • Will work with student advisor/professors to fulfill internship requirements
  • Target start date: Feb 16th

Required education:
