Specific Job Description (Accountabilities & Requirements)

  • Characterize the performance of programmable integrated circuit (IC) solutions from mask tape-out through release to manufacturing and the market.
  • Develop characterization plans, bench hardware, and software to support the release of new ICs.
  • Develop manufacturing test plans and Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) hardware and software to support the release of new ICs.
  • Analyze test data, supervise lab and ATE measurements, establish data sheet specification compliance, and support reliability testing.
  • Support product failure analysis to resolve electrical failure or performance issues.
  • Actively engage with engineering teams from Design, Fab Technology, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Applications, Sales and Marketing as the product moves from design to release

Required Skills

  • BS or MS Electrical Engineering
  • Strong academic performance, GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Knowledge of basic semiconductor processing and device operation
  • Proficiency in UNIX operating system and software programming, including PERL, Python, and C++
  • Knowledge of analog and mixed signal circuits and systems, including ADCs, DACs, OpAmps, Oscillators, PLLs, Voltage Regulators
  • Knowledge of digital circuits and systems, including FPGAs, PLDs, Memories, and serial communication interface standards such as JTAG and I2C
  • Familiarity with PCB board level design concepts and circuits
  • Familiarity with laboratory bench equipment set-up and debug.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Must be detail and customer service oriented
  • Curiosity and a passion for problem solving
