Job Summary

Lattice Semiconductor is looking for a Sr. Technical Accountant who will report to the Assistant Controller. This position is responsible for providing corporate accounting guidance to Lattice to ensure the Company’s financial statements are prepared in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) by conducting and presenting accounting research on various key accounting matters, and managing the policies and procedures of the company, as well as the following:

Key Responsibilities:
Independently handle highly technical areas such as revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, lease accounting, business combinations, goodwill and intangible impairment reviews, capitalized software development costs and other technical accounting topics, as they arise.

Research and interpret guidance on various technical accounting topics

Document accounting and reporting issues and prepare accounting memoranda.

Analyze and participate in the interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards and determine the impact on the Company.

Provide support to external auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audit

Develop, maintain and communicate corporate accounting policies and procedures including coordination with internal control procedures.

Participate in the GL close process as appropriate

Assist in the preparation and review of public filings including 10Q and 10K

Work cross-functionally with other groups to foresee potential accounting issues and recommend practical solutions associated with contemplated business transactions

Monitor business activities, ensure timely identification of accounting and financial reporting matters and prepare high quality accounting memoranda for management and external auditors.

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Required Skills

Required Experience

Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Accounting

CPA required

Big 4 public accounting experience required

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP, FASB codification and SEC reporting standards.

Experience with technical research and ability to interpret accounting guidance in supporting conclusions.

Ability to clearly and concisely document complex accounting and reporting issues and prepare accounting memoranda.

Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written) including ability to effectively communicate technical issues to finance and non-finance personnel at all levels of a global organization.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Ability to lead meetings

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize appropriately and manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
