McIntire Solutions seeks a Strategic Communications and Outreach Coordinator with 5-10 years of experience supporting strategic communication, stakeholder engagement, and outreach to join our team in Northern Virginia.


  • Develop and help to implement a strategic communication strategy and oversee knowledge management activities, including Strategic Communication, Customer Outreach, and Community Engagement
  • Review and help to assess, for Government review, the effectiveness of communication initiatives to varied audiences and performing quality assurance reviews on written products to ensure conformance with internal policies and procedures as well as organizational guidance and direction
  • Writes, edits, and reviews external communications for media, promotional/marketing efforts in print, and electronic formats
  • Develop, support, populate, assist in monitoring, and grow electronic social media platforms, to include chat, blogs, micro-blogs, wikis, bookmarks, RSS feeds, SharePoint and communities of interest, and enhance their use in promoting collaboration and information sharing
  • Writes, edits, and reviews all internal corporate communications in print and electronic formats
  • Interfaces regularly with senior executives on all communication strategies, efforts, and messages
  • Fully accountable for the accuracy and quality control of all communications, and oversees the review process
  • Plans, creates, coordinates, and implements a range of internal and external communication materials and programs
  • May represent the organization during all phases of internal and external communications initiatives


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Communications, Business, or Public Relations
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in communications and outreach and have a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the Intelligence Community
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Government Senior Executives and managing internal and external communications efforts via written or social media platforms
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with short and rigid deadlines
  • Excellent writing and editorial skills, including clear organization and concise presentation
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
  • Be proactive in developing innovative ideas and in communicating them effectively to Government staff
  • Well-versed in all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
  • Ability to remain flexible and multitask while being proactive, quickly adapt to changing client priorities, and respond to ad hoc requests
  • Ability to build trust with the client and strong working relationships with onsite staff
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
