Reports to the executive director of Information Technology Services. The IT project coordinator is responsible for initiating, planning, executing, communicating, controlling and closing technology projects in relation to stated project objectives and outcomes. The IT project coordinator works closely with campus internal and external stakeholders to build and manage project teams and ensures close collaboration and communication. Additionally, the project coordinator deploys a systematic approach to provide standard methods and guidelines to ensure that information technology projects are conducted in a disciplined, well-managed and consistent manner, which promotes the delivery of quality products and results in projects that are completed on time and within budget.
?Provides coordination and management across IT unit for strategic, operational and technology projects.
?Participates in the management of information technology governance process.
?Works with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project’s charter which outlines scope, goals, deliverables, risk analysis, required resources, budget, schedule and measurable outcomes.
?Manages project development from initiation to closure.
?Works closely with cross functional teams and IT staff to guide them through project management methodology.
?Responsible for the convening and managing input and outcomes of the IT change management team.
?Completes work breakdown structure to estimate required effort for each major task associated with projects.
?Provides project schedules and timelines to identify when tasks are performed.
?Communicates expectations to IT team members and stakeholders.
?Acts as a mediator between stakeholders and IT project team members.
?Resolves any issues and solve problems throughout project life cycle.
?Effectively manages project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with project change process.
?Tracks and reports on project milestones and provides status reports to sponsor and IT team.
?Determines how results will be measured and completes a post-project evaluation.
?Develops tools and best practices for project management and execution.
?Ensures all project documents are safely archived following project completion.
?Associates degree from an accredited college within the Information Technology field
?5 years of experience in project management within an IT setting
?Project Management Institute certification is a major asset
?Knowledge of project management life cycle
?Knowledge of quality and process improvement techniques
?Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages
?Demonstrated leadership and people supervisory skills
?Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
?Capable of rapidly adapting and responding to changes in environment and priorities
?Good communication, leadership, problem solving and analytical skills
?Hours Per Week: 37.5
?Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
?Compensation: $59,334 plus excellent health insurance, paid leave and tuition reimbursement
?FLSA Status: Exempt from over time
