The Web Developer and Graphic Designer position duties will be equally split between graphic design and web design. This position designs and prepares original graphic designs, websites, layouts and images for a wide variety of clients while adhering to university brand standards. Appointment Status Permanent Job Appointment (FTE%) 100% Position Term in Months 12 Monthly Salary Commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position Qualifications Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, multi-media, printing technology, or related field AND a minimum of three (3) years full-time experience in concept development and design of high quality promotional materials. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Additional Requirements Demonstrated technical expertise in web visual design, typography, navigation, and/or information architecture and usability. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite,Adobe photoshop, WordPress and/or CMS. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of current Web development and graphic design technologies, such as Dreamweaver or equivalent, HTML, web design application, Photoshop, Quark or equivalent, and/or page layout applications. Experience with MAC OS and Windows OS. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising or leading others Experience with integration of Digital Products with Social Media. Experience in designing and coding CSS standard-compliant web sites. Demonstrated experience in developing interactive features and design elements with Flash and similar programs, slide shows, video, audio, RSS feeds, or other multimedia technologies. Demonstrated experience meeting web accessibility standards. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with current publishing design technologies. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
